Create the all important accent features to a room by recycling accessories you already have or look out for bargains in junk shops or jumble sales. Having invested in good wallpaper for a feature wall, we made do with what we found around the house to complement its sumptuous style. To get the look we:

- Sprayed the old white bed head using Pewter, one of the new Plasti-kote Flat Metallic colours.
- The mirror frame was blue and had been an inexpensive find at Ikea. This too was sprayed with Plasti-kote Flat Metallic Pewter.
- The tissue box came in a cardboard colour from Hobbycraft and was transformed with
Plasti-kote Super Matt Black. The same spray was used on the butler's tray which was a strange green and bought for a knockdown price.
- The photo frame and one of the vases were given a new lease of life with Plasti-kote Flat Metallic Brushed Nickel.
- The chairs were originally from Habitat ten years ago and were transformed from their natural cane to Warm Aubergine, as was the other vase.
- The far bedside table was bought from a local second-hand market for £8 and sprayed with Plasti-kote Super Grey Beige, which is one of our all time favourite colours for its versatility.
